There is a lot of cool gadgets around. But today we are going to talk about the bad USB. A bad USB is a USB that when plugged in runs a script (Program). With this USB the combinations and possibilities are unlimited. For example, you could use a script to implant a virus, to take the password to wifi, change the background to whatever you want and so on as long as you know how to do it you can program the USB to do it as well. So now you know what it is.

But how does it work?

A computer is programmed to always trust keyboards. This means that if you make a USB look like a keyboard the computer will not think twice. When the USB is connected as a computer it can then, for example, reach the command line. When it has reached the command line it can tell the computer what to do and the computer will listen because it believes that it is someone on the computer writing.

Where do I get one?

There are a lot of different brands to choose from. But to make it as simple as possible I have chosen one brand with two different USBs. But if you want to buy another cheaper USB you have to be careful, there are a lot of USBs out there that are programmed to erase everything from your computer if you plug it in. So make sure you buy from a brand with a good reputation and so on. I will today talk about the MalDuino.

There are two different types of MalDuinos, both using the same script with the biggest difference is how many different scripts it can run. The Elite can run up to 16 different scripts! While the Lite runt one payload at a time. Both use ducky script as language, which is a really easy programming language.
